Psalm 119:161-176

Monday!  Monday!  Read Psalm 119:161-176 – Today is a day of completion.  We have been delighting in two weekly stanzas of this longest chapter of the bible since July 19, 2021.  Beloved, may this accomplishment signify to you the blessing of perseverance.  Life has thrown many things at each of us over these weeks and months, yet Gods Word remains our source for truth and refreshment – thank God for our Father in heaven who is far and above all our earthly trials.  Truly, “Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble(:165).”  Beloved, will you also say YES???  “Yes, I obey your commandments and laws because you know everything I do(:168).”  Be encouraged!  Our Heavenly Father knows we stumble, yet His mercy meets us as we humbly return.  “I have wandered away like a lost sheep, come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands(:176).”  Beloved, may today be a day of thanksgiving, praise and hallelujah!  Set aside your circumstances and praise His name.🙌🙏💖👑💖🙏🙌

Psalm 119:145-160

Monday! Monday!  Read Psalm 119:145-160 – Cries of the heart echo in these pleas.   Our psalmist knows God; he knows Scripture and he is bold to cry out.  We don’t know what his trial is; yet because we all have them, we can relate to such anguish. I RISE EARLY, BEFORE THE SUN IS UP; I CRY OUT FOR HELP AND PUT MY HOPE IN YOUR WORDS. (:147). Notice how he is not alone. He knows God is real, that He listens to his cry.  God’s mercy is rescue for believers, while those who reject the Lord…. it is both heartbreaking and sickening(:155-156).  Beloved, do you know someone who rejects Jesus?  Never stop praying for them.   Do you need some refreshment in your own soul? Be inspired by our Scriptures and pray. 🙏🏻📖🙏🏻💖🙏🏻📖🙏🏻

Psalm 119:129-144

Monday! Monday!  Read Psalm 119:129-144 – Wonderful is both miraculous and supernatural – When one discovers that living according to God’s law is so much better than getting lost in the world’s way there is a joy and a desire to know even more. YOUR LAWS ARE WONDERFUL.  NO WONDER I OBEY THEM! (119:129)  As much as we know obeying God’s Word is the best way to live, we, like the psalmist, know we are prone to mess it up… Our psalmist does not hide from God when this happens, nor does he pretend he is without shortcomings.  We will be blessed to do the same and seek His mercy:  COME AND SHOW ME YOUR MERCY, AS YOU DO FOR ALL WHO LOVE YOUR NAME.  (119:132)  Jesus kept things simple for us, he summed up the law in two essential commands.  One is to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, strength and soul.  The other is to love your neighbor as yourself.  This is repeated in the gospel accounts of Matthew 6, Luke 10, and in the epistles of Romans 13, Galatians 5, and James 2.  Our psalmist heart is breaking for those around him who live in disobedience(119:136, 139), and ours should too.  These are challenging days, keep looking to the Word that saves!  YOUR LAWS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT; HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND THEM SO I MAY LIVE. (119:144)
